The first step to computerisation for the smaller company can be daunting, both in financial terms and operation. To overcome these two hurdles, Plastics Software has designed what could be described as a starter program, based on the long established PlasWare Manufacturing Management System suite of programs.

PlasWare Lite comprises of 4 modules, a Database, Sales order processing, Job cards, and Stock control.

	Database Manager
	This is the foundations for all other modules. It includes all the Materials, Products, Bill of Materials, Bill of Routes, Personnel, Operations, Amendment History and Mould Tool Databases that are used in all the other modules.

	Customer Order Mangement
	Gives you instant access and control of Customer orders by type, value, quantity and delivery, from receipt to despatch.

	Job Cards
	Provides the factory with information on how to produce the order with materials, route and machine to be used

	Stock Control
	Fine-tunes the control of all direct Materials and Finished Products, reducing stock holding costs, providing Material Batch control and full Audit Trails.

Each of these four modules is geared to cater for a set number of data entries, which is determined by a customer’s requirements, and is priced accordingly.

The PlasWare Lite base starter package sells for £ 1150.00 +VAT

This will allow a database to have 20 products, 10 customers, 30 live orders, 40 total materials, and 3 moulding machines at any one moment, and is a single user system. Completed orders remain on the system for future reference, and do not effect the data base limitations.

The customer has the opportunity to increase the various database limitations by applying to Plastics Software Ltd, who will make the appropriate adjustment to the revised upper limits on the software, and apply the additional charges as set out in an easy to read costing table.

The PlasWare Manufacturing Management System Despatch/Invoicing module will fully integrate with the above modules and thus complete the operation right up to the point of entering the information onto the user’s accounts ledgers.
